Want more Thailand travel tips?
Thailand is one of the most photogenic places I’ve ever been to. Everywhere you turn there’s another sight, splash of color, eye catching decoration, or simply something bizarre and beautiful. When I first moved here I was overcome by how colorful and decorative everything was – the temples, the art, the fruit, the giant jungle leaves, the flowers – it seemed like someone had turned up the saturation on on just about everything.
Even after three years, I still am constantly noticing new things and taking photos, not wanting to miss or forget anything. here are some of my favorite Thailand Instagram shots (you can follow me here!) from the past year. Some of them I chose for personal meaning while others just awesome.
Get ready, there are a lot of them…
A Buddha statue at Wat Chedi Luang in Chiang Mai, the chedi (stupa) at the Burmese-style temple Wat Pa Pao also in Chiang Mai, and a traditional sak yant Thai tattoo design.
A long weekend ride, the cutest shot of my puppy ever two weeks after we got her, and temple bells (which are available in my shop).
Street art in a small soi in Chiang Mai’s Old City, traditional Lanna (northern Thai) water pots, triangular lounging pillows found everywhere throughout Thailand.
A Buddha hand in Sukhothai, the BEST noodles with roasted duck ever in Chiang Mai and a moment captured in a Bangkok tuk tuk.
A forgotten flower offering tucked into a bodhi tree in Sukhothai, bright orchids growing on their in my boyfriend’s family’s yard and bunch of fresh orchids for sale…only $2.
